This Privacy Policy describes how Fixly ("we", "us", or "the Service") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website.

1. Information we collect

Fixly is built to require as little data as possible. Specifically:

Problem descriptions you type. When you ask a question or describe a problem, that text is sent to our matching engine — and, if you have connected your own AI provider, to that provider. We do not store the content of your queries on our servers.
Usage analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool (such as Plausible or Google Analytics) to understand which guides are most useful. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

2. AI providers (if you connect one)

If you choose to connect an Anthropic or OpenAI API key in Settings, that key is stored only in your browser's memory for the current tab — it is never sent to our servers. When you ask follow-up questions, your message is sent directly from your browser to the provider you selected. Their privacy policies apply to that data.

3. Advertising and cookies

This site is supported by display advertising. We may use third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense, to serve ads. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to:

Show ads relevant to your interests based on past visits to this and other sites
Measure ad performance
Prevent fraudulent activity

4. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not create user profiles tied to your identity.
We do not require account creation to use Fixly.

5. Children

Fixly is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g., the EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we hold very little, most requests are quickly resolved by clearing your browser data.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide notice on the site.
